Position Summary:
Quapaw Public Schools is seeking a dedicated, energetic, and student-centered individual to serve as an Assistant Football Coach for the middle school and high school programs. The ideal candidate will support the development of a competitive football program while fostering sportsmanship, discipline, teamwork, and academic success among student-athletes.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist the Head Coach in planning, organizing, and conducting daily practices for middle school and high school football teams
• Instruct student-athletes in fundamental skills, game strategies, and physical conditioning
• Promote a positive team culture that emphasizes respect, accountability, and character development
• Supervise athletes during practices, games, travel, and related activities
• Support strength and conditioning programs during the off-season
• Ensure compliance with all school, district, and OSSAA (Oklahoma Secondary School Activities Association) rules and regulations
• Assist with equipment management, field setup, and other program logistics
• Encourage and monitor academic progress and eligibility of student-athletes
• Maintain effective communication with players, parents, coaching staff, and school administration

Qualifications:

• Previous coaching experience at the middle school, high school, or collegiate level preferred
• Strong knowledge of football fundamentals, techniques, and safety practices
• Ability to motivate and mentor student-athletes both on and off the field
• Excellent communication, leadership, and organizational skills
• Teaching certification preferred
• Must meet all district and state requirements, including background check and coaching certifications
• Care & Prevention Certification Required (or willing to obtain)
• CDL Required (or willing to obtain)
