Junior High Geography Teacher / Coaching Opportunities

Claremore Public Schools is seeking an outstanding educator and coach to join our team as a Junior High Geography Teacher with coaching opportunities available in the following areas:

• Head Boys Golf
• Assistant Wrestling
• Assistant Cheer
• Assistant Baseball

We are looking for a passionate teacher and coach who understands that education-based athletics are an extension of the classroom and who is committed to developing young people academically, athletically, and personally.

Responsibilities Include:

In the Classroom

• Deliver engaging and effective Geography instruction to junior high students
• Foster a positive learning environment focused on growth, accountability, and student success
• Build strong relationships with students, parents, and colleagues
• Support the mission and vision of Claremore Public Schools

In Athletics

• Fulfill coaching responsibilities in one of the available positions
• Develop student-athletes both on and off the field, mat, course, or sidelines
• Promote character, teamwork, leadership, and sportsmanship
• Build meaningful relationships with athletes and families
• Contribute positively to the culture and success of Claremore Athletics

Preferred Qualifications:

• Oklahoma Teaching Certification or ability to obtain Oklahoma certification
• Strong communication and leadership skills
• Passion for working with junior high students
• Commitment to education-based athletics and student development
• Coaching experience in golf, wrestling, cheer, baseball, or related athletic programs
• Care and Prevention of Athletic Injuries certification (or ability to obtain)
