Pocola Public Schools is seeking a highly motivated, student-centered, and community-driven Head Baseball Coach to lead and grow our baseball program. The ideal candidate will build a culture of excellence, accountability, and sportsmanship while developing student-athletes both on and off the field.

Primary Responsibilities

• Develop, implement, and oversee all aspects of the baseball program (6–12), including offseason, preseason, and in-season activities
• Establish a positive team culture emphasizing discipline, teamwork, and character
• Plan and conduct effective practices that promote skill development and competitive success
• Organize game strategies, scouting, and player development plans
• Supervise assistant coaches and coordinate responsibilities across all levels
• Ensure compliance with all district, conference, and OSSAA rules and regulations
• Maintain equipment, uniforms, and inventory
• Promote academic success and monitor student-athlete eligibility
• Communicate effectively with players, parents, staff, and administration
• Foster strong relationships with the community and youth baseball programs

Qualifications

• Valid Oklahoma teaching certificate (preferred; non-certified applicants will be considered based on experience and district needs)
• Previous coaching experience in baseball, preferably at the high school level
• Demonstrated ability to lead, motivate, and mentor student-athletes
• Strong organizational, communication, and leadership skills
• Knowledge of current baseball strategies, training techniques, and program development
• Commitment to the overall mission and vision of Pocola Public Schools
